CAG Women’s Health in a Life Course Perspective (WHIP)
CAG Women’s Health in a Life Course Perspective pioneers a data-driven revolution in women’s healthcare, addressing critical knowledge gaps across menstruation, pregnancy, and menopause.
Utilizing deeply phenotyped cohorts and advanced multi-omics analyses, we will unravel the intricate biological mechanisms underlying reproductive health and its long-term impacts. Our innovative approach integrates clinical expertise with cutting-edge data science, including Large Language Models (LLMs) for nuanced EHR extraction, to define “normal” female biological variability and identify predictive biomarkers.
We will evaluate healthcare service improvements, such as early labor interventions and post-pregnancy loss consultations, through emulated trials, and develop patient-centered risk assessment tools for conditions like endometriosis and migraine. A dedicated task force will ensure rapid translation of findings into clinical practice, disseminating knowledge nationally through targeted communication strategies and policy recommendations.
This CAG fosters interdisciplinary collaboration, leveraging existing in-house competencies and promoting knowledge sharing across work packages. By harmonizing diverse data sources and employing rigorous statistical methodologies, we will generate robust, reproducible findings. Our commitment to ethical research, patient involvement, and national outreach will drive tangible improvements in women’s health, reducing disparities and enhancing healthcare equity.
