The international assessment panel 2021<\/h2>\n

CAGs are selected on the basis of open calls and by the Executive Board chairmanship in close cooperation with an international panel. The panel will be published on this page as soon as it is composed.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][\/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”Bj\u00f6rn Gustafsson” tab_id=”1542378955064-1e656c10-2fc1df96-7424″][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”2\/3″][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1569933690309{margin-bottom: 0px !important;}”]Bj\u00f6rn Gustafsson is Dean at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). NTNU is the biggest university in Norway.<\/p>\n

He is professor of Gastroenterology, specialist in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. His research background is translational research on inflammatory bowel disease, as well as basic research in neuroendocrinology and neuroendocrine tumor biology.<\/p>\n

Bj\u00f6rn Gustafsson is also an attending physician at St. Olavs University Hospital in Trondheim.<\/p>\n

He was president of The Norwegian Gastroenterological Association from 2009 until 2013. He was Vice Dean (Dean of Research) at the Faculty of Medicine from 2012-2015.<\/p>\n

Bj\u00f8rn Gustafsson also participated in the international panel in assessing CAGs in 2017, 2018 and in 2019 as chair of the panel.<\/p>\n

Li Fell\u00e4nder-Tsai is Director of the Center for Advanced Medical Simulation and Training (CAMST) at Karolinska University Hospital.<\/p>\n

Her research focuses on recovery after injury and surgery of the musculoskeletal system, the metabolism of the syniovial membranes, and treatment of knee injuries.<\/p>\n

She is president of the Nordic Orthopaedic Federation (norf.org) and co-opted member of the board of the European Federation of National Associations of Orthopaedics and Traumatology (efort.org).<\/p>\n

Reinhard F\u00e4ssler is honorary professor at the LMU Munich, University of Copenhagen and University of Hong Kong.<\/p>\n

In 2000 he was elected member of EMBO and in 2008 he became a member of the Austrian Academy of Sciences.<\/p>\n

Reinhard F\u00e4sslers research is focused on how integrins become activated, how they execute their signaling tasks, why they recycle, and how a damaged integrin is recognized in endsomomes.<\/p>\n

He is also Director of the EPSRC Image-Guided Therapies UK Network+ and has raised over \u00a340M as Principal Investigator, including \u00a310M under the Innovative Engineering for Health initiative to create the GIFT-Surg project.<\/p>\n
